About Us
Informally founded in 1980 as an adjunct to a yoga class at the Pontchartrain Community Hall, the group coalesced in 1982 under the leadership of Patrick Grohens. When he left in 1986, he was replaced by the current leaders, Daniel Domergue and Françoise Lesage.
In 2001, we formed an association affiliated with the AZI - "Association Zen de la Mauldre" - and transferred our location to a neighboring town, Tremblay sur Mauldre.
Our privileged location in a verdant village in Yvelines (near Paris as the crow flies but not in terms of transportation) puts the practice of zazen within range of people who live further away, since some travel 30 or 40 kilometers to attend.
